Kat Bellemore is the author of the small town romance novel Borrowing. Deciding to have New Mexico as the series' location was an easy choice, considering the amazing sunsets, blue skies, and tasty chili peppers.

That and the fact that Kat currently lives there with her husband and two beautiful children.

They hope to one day add a dog to the family, but for now the animals native to the desert should suffice.

Though Kat didn't care if the world got rid of scorpions and centipedes. They're just bad.
