Sandy Taylor was born in Brighton on the south coast of England.  

 

As a child, she frequently visited her wider Irish family in County Cork, with Ireland being both an inspiration and a setting for her fiction. 

 

Sandy’s novels make readers laugh and cry, while her characters hope to find friendship, love, and a sense of home.  Sandy now lives in Somerset, close to her three grandchildren.
