Kathleen Lawless, a USA Today bestselling author from the Pacific Northwest, credits spending her youth watching Rawhide, Maverick and Bonanza with her fascination with cowboys, which hasn't stopped her from creating a wide variety of interests and occupations for its many alpha male heroes. 

Kathleen's earliest memories are of wanting to be a writer. Creating stories that touch the lives of other people who like to read the way she likes.

With nearly 50 published novels, she enjoys pushing the boundaries of traditional romance, erotic romance, romantic suspense, women's fiction, and young adult stories.

She also knows firsthand about happy endings. "Can you believe I wrote A Hard Man To Love with a hero named Steele years before I met my own hero named Steel? His proposal to me on a remote island in the Caribbean was more romantic than ever. than anything I could have written."
